Garden Update June 25th

Just in time for my summer holidays the weather has changed. Temperatures dropped and it has been rainy all week so far. Don't get me wrong, the rain was much needed and it saves me the time to spend hours watering the garden but it would have been nice to start the holidays with some sun. I had many plans on what needs to be done in terms of harvesting the rest of the berries and the cherries but all of that is on hold for the time being. Today, when the rain stopped for an hour or two, I went out to take some pictures from the garden. The garden is doing well. So far the worst of the weeds is still to come but I am battling it and maybe it won't get as bad as last year. Berry harvest is or was in full swing. I am harvesting the first carrots and nearly harvested all the peas from the first crop. Soon it will be already time to take the first peas out of the soil and plant more strawberry seedling for next year in that spot. Salads and radish are being harvested daily for dinner or an in between snack.
Life surely is good right now.
What is going on in your garden?

  3. Oh wow! Is your whole yard a garden? I'm feeling a little embarrassed about my puny garden now. Well done. Have a good weekend.

    1. no, the yard is split in half, one half is my garden and the other half is just a yard, where we sit for BBQ's, the washing line is there and the dogs have free reign
