Getting ready

For the Christmas season

Very slowly I am getting ready for the Christmas season. I have started to put some of the wood ornaments on the window, some candles are out and the Christmas box for my cousin, is nearly ready to be send off. This week, I plan to bake some cookies and get some green from the trees, to decorcate inside the house. It's still quite warm at the moment (well just above/around 5 degrees Celcisus but it's predicted to snow on Thursday, we will see.

i have also done some knitting, true I am only just starting to really learn how to knit but for that, the balls that I made whre nice, easy and encouraging.

Today on Totensonntag (Sunday of the death), I went to the cemetry early in the morning to lit a candle for dad and my grandma.

Crafting Weekend

After I was so busy during the last few weekends, I decided that this weekend was just there for relaxing. The ipod on listening to music, baking, and enjoying a cup of tea with my mom in the afternoon, some knitting (the result will be shown soon), some nice walks out in the countryside with the dogs and some holiday sewing for some gifts. How better could I have spend a cold and at times rainy weekend...

As for presents, even if those who will get the presents might read this, I still show what I made... I had this gorgeous fabric that I thought would be great in the quick change trousers and the results speak for themselves. I showed my mom and she thought it's so cute and to be honest, I nearly kept it but I figured since I have some more of the fabric, I can do a second pair :)

The finished bedroom

After a lot of work, I have finally finished the bedroom today. After I had sanded down the floor a few weeks ago, I rented another maschine on Thursday to finish of the corners and then added an undercoat of woodpaint the same night. Meaning I slept on the mattress in the living room on Thursday night. Early on Friday morning, I added a second coat of wood paint to the floor and by later afternoon I was able to put the furniture back in.

This morning, my brother helped to put together my wardrobe and now, my bedbroom is finally finished and I am pleased with how good it looks.
