A walk through the garden

The weekend was sunny with temperatures in the early 20s, so come join me for a walk through my garden.

When I moved into this house in August, there was still quite a bit to do both in the house and in the garden. With me being in Berlin mostly during the week, the focus was to get those things done that need to get done first, like harbest the garden, prepare the garden, well mostly the outside really and a few things inside.

My bedroom floor was still one of the two things in the house that had to be done but wasn't a high priority so far. Today, it was finally time to start working on the bedroom. The carpet was already out of there anyway, so I hired a maschine to sand down the floor. 

The floor looks amazing now, proper wood flooring. I still need to sand down the corners but this will have to wait until next weekend as the tool that I used for the corners started smoking and I had to stop. That didn't stop me to put the bed back in though and I am pleased with the progress so far.

 

Raspberries

Early this morning I went to my neigbours as she offered me some rasberrie plants that she was going to throw away otherwise. Above is her garden and the raserries. I got aout 15 plants out and after also getting some pears, carrots and rasberries, I took the load home.

Once at mine, I planted all the bushes at the fence and hopefully get rasberries next year.

Out and about

Today was a rainy and chilly day more November then October but it cleared up by about 4pm and after a day inside with ouring rain both the dogs and myself were desprate for a some fresh air. So we went out for a walk in the woods, come along and see how beautiful it was. I am back in Berlin tomorrow, so was more then pleased with the sun coming out and us roaming in the woods

It was 6.30am when I woke up today. The last few days have been rainy and chilly. It was feeling much more like November then October. This morning was foggy and about 5 degrees celsius outside. The sun was just coming out and by 7am the dogs and me where outside for a walk. Due to the fog we could not see far ahead but it was still very beautiful, very quiet, just some birds greeting the morning with their song. We managed to see to deers and a fox on the field.



 

 

Once we got home, my apple pancake was ready in the oven, and I had a lovely breakfast. Later today I will go to church as ususal and then to the farmers market that is in town.

Home

Slowly but surely my house is turning in a beautiful home. I have been looking for an old siteboard for a while now and found this beauty in a second handshop while looking for a table. I found it already last week but as it is quite big and my car quite small, I had it delivered today. After a good clean it looks as if it's new and it's perfect for me.

October Walk

Today was a beautiful October day, so I took the dogs out for a walk in the woods. I love October, it is one of my favorite month in the year. I love how the leafs turn from green to yellow and red, I love the October sun that still warms the earth and I love being out in the nature, to see this beauty.

The dogs and me went out of the house and took of towards the woods, the colors are not as prominent yet as they will be in a few weeks but it still was gorgous, the smell of freshly cut wood, the sun being out and the dogs running around wagging their tail and being happy. Could have not as for a better day.
